Events - Cruising Information

Cruising  at Mimico Cruising Club is enjoyed by both sailors and power boaters. You can even come by car. Each summer, under the leadership of the Cruising Director and committee, planned weekend cruises away occur at least six weekends during the boating season. The cruising season begins Mid-May and extends until late September. Annual highlights include the Humber Dinghy Cruise, the Commodore’s Cruise and the Kid’s Pirate Cruise. The other cruises vary by location, number of boats and theme from year to year. Typical destinations include Port Dalhousie, Niagara-On-The-Lake, Fifty Point, Bluffers Park and Wilson, New York.  Informally organized summer cruises to the Thousand Islands are also popular.

During the off-season the group continues to socialize with ‘off the water’ land cruises which include a curling day during the winter and a golf day in the fall.

All members at MCC can join in the fun of a Club cruise.  Simply sign up to attend the event and you will be introduced to and heartily welcomed by a group who love to cruise and socialize with like-minded boaters. Guests of the members are also welcome.
